I start with scouring through used bookstores, yard sales, my parents' basement. I find cookbooks, travel books, picture books, any books that speak to me. Then comes the fun part - I rip them apart. I tear out any images that catch my eye. I use them as puzzle pieces - merging segments of photos that seem irrelevant and unrelated. Bringing Dada-influenced collage into the contemporary world, I aim to piece together these stray images to create surreal and oddly cohesive final scenes.
